Here is an example of how your donation impacts the lives of the special animals that Special Pals serves:
Sophie, a nine-year-old dog, was abandoned on our property during a horrible rainstorm. She was stuffed inside a breadbox, and she was lucky that we found her before she drowned from high waters in the parking lot. It was obvious that she had been used for breeding purposes and had never had her medical needs cared for. Half her face was caved in; she was blind in one eye and had limited vision in the other. She had to have seven tumors removed from her little body. Thanks to a generous donor, she was able to spend several months recovering from her injuries and from malnutrition. Sophie finally found a home that will take care of her every need.
